Cooking classes teaching independence and good eating habits
Grove Little Cooks offers private cooking classes and culinary events for children in Coconut Grove and the surrounding Miami neighborhoods.
We partner with chefs from local restaurants to provide the best cooking classes in town.
We love to expose our young participants to a variety of ingredients which make an easy, healthy and delicious meal. Over time, our students become more receptive and curious to try new ingredients.
Our mission is to promote independence in our students, encourage them to eat healthy and to promote local businesses.
Cooking Workshops for Kids
The culinary experience accommodates to each student’s level of confidence. We work individually but also as a team so everyone participates and feels comfortable cooking in a group environment. We strive to maintain an exciting atmosphere to stretch the attention span of the participants and produce a healthy and delicious recipe.

“My 4y/o son and I had at blast at the Mommy & Me cooking class hosted by Vanessa and Chef Oscar at Jaguar. It was really great to be able to do this activity on the weekend and with other moms and kids. Vanessa had every aspect thought out and planned appropriately for each kid’s age. The food was incredible for both the kids and the adults. The kids got to use various cooking tools, taste new flavors and combinations of ingredients, and make new friends in the process. The complimentary goodie bag was amazing! In the end you get to have a great time with your kid, support local small businesses, and make new memories. The big bonus for the moms is you get to have fun AND you don’t have to clean up the mess in the kitchen at the end!”

“My daughters, ages 4 and 7, have been attending classes at Grove Little Cooks for about a year. From the moment we walked in, Vanessa made them feel welcome and excited to learn. The class is perfectly tailored to young children, with hands-on activities and easy-to-follow instructions that keep them engaged and enthusiastic.
Both my daughters have learned so much about cooking and nutrition, They’ve picked up essential skills like measuring, mixing, and following recipes. The recipes they learn are not only delicious but also practical and healthy. We find ourselves using these recipes time and time again at home, turning family meals into fun, collaborative events.
What makes this class truly special is the way it combines learning with creativity. Both my girls love the skills they’ve learned from decorating cupcakes and making fun shapes with cookie dough, to the challenge of making more complex dishes like mini pizzas and ceviche. It’s wonderful to see them so proud of their culinary creations.
Overall, the class at Grove Little Cooks has been a remarkable experience for my girls. They’ve gained valuable skills, discovered new foods, and developed a love for cooking that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend Grove Little Cooks.”
